Our orthographic land cover maps are all 3000 x 3000 pixels in size, and to
preserve image quality they are are supplied as 24-bit .png files.
The maps cover the same areas as our orthographic relief maps, but on page 7 we include
Arctica and Antarctica. View a list of Orthographic Land Cover Maps.
For each map we supply a free “graticule image” in the form of a greyscale .png file.
The image is a 10 degree latitude-longitude grid of exactly the same orientation and size as the parent map,
which you can use as a navigation and georeferencing aid. Click on the "graticule" link under any
thumbnail to open and/or save the graticule image.
