The map is actually black-on-white: the grey lines you see here are an effect of reducing the
large full-size map to thumbnail size.
See a typical detail (you will be looking at Southeast Europe).
The printing resolution is preset for printing on A4/Letter size paper. However, the map is
designed to be printed at larger sizes. For example, if you have an "A3" printer that takes Super
A3/B size paper, try a resolution of 140 dpc/360 dpi for a 43 x 23 cm/17 x 9 inch print.
The map is also large enough for you to cut out continents and large countries, digitally or
with scissors, and paste them as separate new maps.
While care has been taken in making the map, coastlines and borders are approximate and not authoritative.
